Checking In: Jane Iredale Makeup, Kamik Rain Boots, and Missing the Hustle and Bustle

Hey close friend! How’s it heading on this third working day of the 12 months? It is silent in my home, and I really do not know how I experience about it!

We have experienced so several people today go in and out our doorways more than the previous two weeks, and with my sidekick at residence, it was loud and boisterous and just so attractive. Now I pass up it, but I’m also sort of relieved, which is strange, I know.

Probably I’m even now recovering from the trauma regarded as 2020, but socializing these times, when I take pleasure in it, normally takes a great deal out of me.

I’m the natural way a social particular person, but hosting, cooking and cleansing is draining, Proper? Why are there so quite a few dishes? And why does vacuuming in no way cease? LOL!

And yet… I however love the hustle and bustle of owning mates and family about. It just reminds me that daily life keeps likely.

In any case, the only sound I hear now is Rosie chomping on her kibble and the refrigerator buzzing. I’m a tiny lonely, not gonna lie.

Yesterday I wanted to be productive and planned to stow the Xmas decorations, but as an alternative we expended it portray Connor’s new rain boots with these magnificent Posca paint pens.

Connor did most of the patterns, but I chipped in a small little bit below and there with some hearts and stars.

These rain boots, by the way, are from a new-to-me Canadian brand termed Kamik, and they ended up so good at holding Connor’s feet dry that I want a pair for myself.

In advance of we decorated them yesterday, we took the boots out for some puddle stomping at a hike we like to do in our city that leads you up to a waterfall, and even after crossing multiple creeks, Connor’s socks stayed totally dry.

My socks obtained wet, even though!

Am I the only man or woman who just simply cannot offer with moist socks? They’re my pet peeve. Anyway, I’m on a mission to obtain a pair for myself!

I’m also on a mission to set on eyeshadow that is not NARS Fez or Kalahari (my go-to shades for, oh, the previous six months or so). This morning I dug into a drawer and unearthed some beauties from Jane Iredale!

If today’s FOTD turns out Ok, I’ll permit ya know.
